'It's about making songs now, trying to take that next step,' Em tells MTV News' Sway on Shade 45 radio Thursday.

<P><b>NEW YORK</b> &#8212; Shady's back ... back again! <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/eminem/artist.jhtml">Eminem</a> has spent the last few months locked in the studio, but he's only just started working on his seventh major-label solo album.</P><P>Thursday night, hours before his special G-Shock performance in New York City, the Detroit rap machine confirmed to MTV News correspondent and Shade 45 radio host <a href="http://www.swaysuniverse.com/sways-news/shade-45-presents-sway-x-eminem-x-slaughterhouse-welcome-to-our-house-album-preview-special" target="_blank">Sway Calloway</a> that he is back in album mode.</P><P>"I've actually kinda just started. I've been on the move a little bit too, so I've in between things, sneak songs in here and there," Em said during a radio interview flanked by Shady's new super-group <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/slaughterhouse__2_/artist.jhtml">Slaughterhouse</a>. "We actually just finished the [Slaughterhouse] album last week... Now I've got time to be able to start doing things for my own project."</P><P>SH's Welcome to: Our House is <a href="/news/articles/1691546/eminem-slaughterhouse-hip-hop.jhtml"><i>Welcome to: Our House</i></a> is slated to drop on August 28 and the Shady boss is very excited about the release. "I feel like hip-hop needs this," Em said of Royce da 5'9", Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden and Crooked I's upcoming sophomore LP.</P><P>Em revealed that he signed the fearsome rap foursome at the top of 2011 and since then their project has been one of the most anticipated hip-hop releases. Knowing that the stakes were high, Em sat with the group of veteran spitters and crafted songs alongside them.</P><P>"All of Dre's little tricks, I've stolen over the years," Em said on-air and to the intimate room filled with music journalists and bloggers.</P><P>"It's about making songs now, trying to take that next step," he added later.</P><P>It's been two years since Marshall released his last solo LP <i>Recovery</i>.</P><P><i>Are you ready for the next solo Eminem project?
