McQuarrie At The Top To Direct MI 5

Christopher McQuarrie is the front runner to direct Mission: Impossible 5 which is in the early stages of development says Deadline.

McQuarrie, who helms the upcoming Tom Cruise film "Jack Reacher", is reportedly the guy that both Cruise and producer JJ Abrams want for MI5 which has become a priority for the studio in the wake of the just under $700 million worldwide earned by Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" McQuarrie performed an uncredited re-write on the 'Ghost Protocol' script.

McQuarrie is also in line to helm an adaptation of Tom Clancy's 1993 novel "Without Remorse".
